Rehabilitation and Personal Training
If you're looking to rehabilitate an injury, or have specific needs, personal training will give you scheduled appointments and one-on-one attention to make real progress.
Your program will be discussed with you as every client is completely individual. Every session may incorporate a range of our techniques. This is really what makes Physical Performance unique. A client's program may involve aspects of active release therapy, assisted isolated stretching, fascial abrasion, massage, personal training and physical therapy, our niche is the scope we can provide within our sessions.
Some personal training clients may spend only part of a session on the gym floor mobility training, as others may require hands on soft tissue work too. We are specialists in Rehabilitation and are Newcastle's leading Personal Training Gym.

Semi Private Training
Our Semi-Private Training Classes run multiple times per week. All of our training sessions have a maximum of 4 people with one of our experienced coaches. Every person is coached throughout each session. We make sure you are performing your exercises with the right form and using equipment correctly for maximum benefit and safety, ensuring you get incredible results and the personal attention you'd expect from us.
We get to know you right from the start – your history, your fitness level, and your current health – so we can we design a training program suitable for you.
Here you get the best of both worlds; customised personal training while also having the community of exercising with others. Consistency is key, and our extra small classes make regular training affordable, whilst maintaining the high standards you expect from us.
Our Semi Private Training is designed to give you faster results with no plateaus; utilising free weights, resistance training, body weight exercises and lactic threshold training in an ever evolving format. Every single group session is different.
Our Semi Private Training is suitable for all fitness levels, we train in small numbers so your trainer can adjust the program intensity to suit each individual.

Active Release Technique
At Physical Performance our niche is the scope we can provide within our sessions.
We use various soft tissue modalities including Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Fascial Abrasion, Trigger Point Therapy and Trigenics to release painful restrictions.
ART® is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART.
ART is highly effective in treating many conditions in 4 to 6 sessions. We almost always treat on the first visit, clients should book the new clients initial evaluation hour and therapy will begin as soon as conditions are evaluated.
ART will be treated in a private office.
Prenatal and Postpartum
Our prenatal certified personal trainers will help prepare your body for pregnancy, birth and recovery.
Our customised prenatal fitness sessions are always 1-2-1, and designed to work with your body to gain the strength and stamina required for labour and delivery, alleviate pregnancy aches and pains, improve your mood and sleep patterns, reduces tension, anxiety and fatigue, increase your muscle tone and energy levels and prevent pelvic floor issues as well as diastasis recti.
Many postpartum clients come to us following cesarean sections. Our bespoke personal training will bring you back into fitness safely and build your confidence.
Our Online 1-2-1's are especially popular for busy new mums, and are just 30 minute sessions.
Athletes and Sports Specific
Functional training is the best way to enhance sports performance.
Weight lifting or a running routine alone do not increase dynamic sport specific strength.
A boxer shouldn't train like a tennis player and a golfer shouldn't train like a footballer. Different sports require different strengths and abilities and therefore different training. Whereas weight lifting and running can give you some crossover benefit, refined ability necessitates the use of dynamic movement in the proper plane motion for each sport. Strength, speed of movement, alignment, balance, flexibility and coordination are all components of athleticism. Our specialist training will help you raise your game and improve performance.
